EH : philosophy, not religion.  


   In 20th century, writers, journalists, academics, thinkers, wrote that EH is not only the second humanist revolution, but potentially also an intrinsic religion of Humanity. Yet, eco-humanism is an existential philosophy of Humanity, a catalyst of the human possibles, and an agent of realization of the natural project of development of the human House. But it is not a religion in the traditional sense of the word as far as, in particular, there is no rite of submission and prayers, and neither faith-dependence in any theistic or supranatural entity, nor promises of rescue and eternity in another world, linked to this dependence.


   The only relevant comparison is that, like in the main monotheist religions, its modern participants became capable of coordinating four means widely experienced regarding long-lasting societal organization :

-  a project aiming at the happiness, at the education, and at the cohesion, of all Humanity ;
- an heritage of guiding texts and principial corpus in which everybody can have faith, that is to say trust in it ;
- voluntary animators capable of organizing, of motivating, and of strengthening, the participating community ;
- an independent arbitration structure which prevents any corruption of the transmitted heritage and of the community.


  A major difference with the theistic religions is that the eco-humanist principial corpus is a collective production, permanently improvable and evolutive, open to debate and to science, and always in compliance with the human general interest.  

   Another major difference, which ensues from the first one, is that eco-humanism is not imposed by a threatening pressure and/or an ethnocultural suprematism, and that he cannot be instrumented by political, economic, and/or ideological interests to favor an illegitimate particular cornering.

   Eco-humanism progresses by an exemplary conjunction of courage and wisdom, at the service of the common human House, the higher entity that most effectively organizes the cohesion and the projection of the whole Humanity, by relieving and by improving a meta-cultural heritage which results from the ever improved quality of the human collective brain, which mutualizes and transmits this vital potential in a self-protecting existential dynamic

   Let us remind that in eco-humanism, the existential term qualifies "what determines the scientifically analyzable reality of the existence of a phenomenon or a Being, in its consistency and its duration". What underlies the great human project, without having any link with intellectuals currents (philosophical, literary, gnostic, etc.) qualified as existentialist, but what does not answer this definition, in particular when they induce a knowledge of reality by a restrictive dogma, or by an imaginary liberation, egocentric and driven by repositories generating anxiety, or non-hope in the human development by its autogenic strength of whole.
